Getting My Ducks in A Row

Okay, let’s get all of the bad waterfowl cliches out of the way.

Let’s hope I’ll be the “goose that lays the golden egg” for DU’s conservation effort.  Did I mention that I’ve always been “the queen of all things fowl”? It has been pointed out to me that my people used to be “my peeps” but now they’re “my quakers.” Go ahead, join in. Comments are open.

I have rented a place in Citrus Heights. I’ll be moved likely the week of October 6th. There will be a housewarming party soon after. If you live in the Sac area, touch base. I want you there!

I should have changed the address of the blog to OpDD a long time ago. I’ll have to figure out what to do, because although it will always be Operation Desert Dove in my heart…I’m about to embark on Operation Delta Duck. (Did I mention I’m picking up a female gyr/peregrine this weekend? Insanity.) So watch out delta ducks. Here comes Team Red.

HA you’re getting her then. I have no witty bird cliche’s, I’m just looking forward to hearing about the fun :) AND seeing the Demoness when you get her hehe. Remember, these big ones got a nasty bite haha.

Congrats to the new Master Falconer! How many birds will you be flying now? Tell me, why was it after 13 years?

Two birds is sufficient, really. But it was a long enough wait. They made me an apprentice again when I came back to California from Florida after four years. Then the months when there was no bird on my license didn’t count. (And sent my falcon to a breeding project off season.) So thirteen years later…
