We’re leaving…really…in two weeks. (It’s not a royal “we” — it’s an Oh My God. Me and ALL these animals “we”)
We need:
- 218 transmitters —and a new receiver. Damn.
- to outfit the back of the truck for dogs and falcons (at least there’s a shell on it now…)
- to puzzle piece how a zoo, a change of clothes and pertinent papers can travel in one car without destruction to something irreplacable.
- a tracking collar for the puppy.
- to figure out how to move 2 dogs, 2 falcons, 3 parrots, a case of pigeons and the necessary housing ahead of a moving truck… hmmmn.
- to suss out how to get birds and dogs attended to while touring all the DU projects in our territority — and other field trips that couldn’t possibly be work. (here we are with the ranch hand scenario again…)
- to somehow fit in all of the “we have to have dinner before you leave” moments.
- to pick up keys to a house that’s 300 miles away which I haven’t even walked through yet. (I looked through the windows. That will have to do.)
- to cling to sanity or at least a good night’s sleep…
This is going to be REALLY interesting.

Good luck with everything, Rebecca! I hope that we can fit in one of those dinners (or lunches, or teas!)

Good luck Rebecca. I know I said I wanted to tag along with you on one of your hunts. Not meant to be. Stay in touch. If you need to get a hold of me, you know where to reach me.
Regards,
Peter
