  1. Isaac says:

Will you be “hunting with hawks” in TX next week??

  2. rebecca says:

Noooo. I want to come to Amarillo and see everyone, but what I really need to do is find my way around the new digs and figure out where to hunt. I’m hoping next year is in Vernal…that’s my territory with DU and I’ll surely swing a work/falconry trip if that’s the case.

    Will you be in TX?

  3. Isaac says:

Yup, I can’t wait. I’ve got the kbird up and running and hope to whack a few starlings while I’m there. There are tons of people I’m looking forward to meeting.

I think Vernal was just two years ago wasn’t it? I think the next one is in Kansas or Oklahoma.

Some trivia: The RT on the cover belongs to my friend Chuck Redding in Houston. A great bird. See also in the issue a story by Texas writer (and blogger) Henry Chappell.

  5. Ryan says:

Next year is suppose to be in Oklahoma.

  6. rebecca says:

Hmmn. Oklahoma looks good for pheasant. Any ducks? I guess next Thanksgiving is a long way away though.

  7. Ryan says:

There were tons of ducks, pheasants, quail, jacks and cottontails at our state meet in that area. Hopefully that will hold true for next year as well.
