Great post. I miss my dogs past, and love my dogs present. I didn't get my first dog until I was in my 20's, and now I can never go back.

What a beautiful post. My family has always had dogs, my Dad especially forms incredible partnerships with his dog, and it tears him apart each time one passes on. Still, I don't think he'd give up the experience of being his dogs' person for anything.
